In the webinar series of December 2022, our guest speakers were Startup Studio founders in Food and Agriculture and they explored new opportunities in the industry.
Bart van der Zande is the director and founder of the Fresh Ventures Studio. Bart has spent the first part of his career being active both as a founder and working with organisations developing startup ecosystems. After recognising the need for systemic change in our economy to get to a sustainable state he developed the personal mission to involve all the great entrepreneurial talents and knowledge active in the startup ecosystems in solving the most wicked problems of our times. With the food system as the nexus of both the biggest challenges and the solutions always playing a big role.
Hannes Van den Eeckhout has extensive experience in working with smallholder and agroecological farmers on market access, direct food sales networks, organisational strengthening, food security and social entrepreneurship in Latin-America, East Africa and Europe. He's now on a quest to combine the best of social entrepreneurship with the world of agroecology in a start-up studio approach to building truly regenerative agri-food businesses in order to contribute to accelerating the transition to a fair, inclusive, regenerative food system, one company at a time.
