To advance the transfer of its scientific research findings and meet the growing start-up spirit in the Fraunhofer institutes, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft initiated its Fraunhofer Venture division in 1999. Fraunhofer Venture is responsible for the spin-off and investment management of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft e.V. - Europe's largest institution for applied research. We develop successful start-ups from world-class hightech and bring innovations to the market. We are looking for researchers and entrepreneurs from the science, business and the start-up scene who want to change the world with Fraunhofer cutting-edge technology - and we offer everything they need: from technology and unique company building to seed capital and partnerships.As of today, we supported the successful start-up of more than 200 companies from life science/medical science, energy and environment, information and communication, manufacturing and processing, microelectronics, transport and logistics, materials, and photonics.
